Our Timeless Designs
At WHEN & WHERE, we are not big on quick trends. We want you to wear our pieces for years, even decades, to come. That’s why our capsule collection is designed to be versatile and multifunctional. You can wear it anywhere...from the gym to the office and everywhere in between. We provide you with fewer pieces that can be easily mixed and matched to do more, so you can wear our line all week long, which means less laundry and less water use.
We want our clothing to last, so we have spent months sourcing the best fabrics and materials for our timeless pieces that will make you look and feel your very best. Our fabric is carefully and responsibly chosen to meet our sustainability requirements and our goal is to achieve circularity and zero waste by using infinitely recyclable and biodegradable materials in all of our designs.
- Our activewear line is made with luxury Italian fabric that contains 78% ECONYL®, a regenerated nylon derived from fishing nets, fabric scraps and carpets that would otherwise pollute the planet. The ECONYL® yarn is infinitely recyclable. In addition to being highly sustainable, our activewear fabrics are the perfect combination of comfort and performance. They are super soft, yet also moisture-wicking and odor-resistant to easily take you from day to night.
- Our outerwear is made of ethically-sourced merino wool from New Zealand and Australia, as well as Tencel™, a fiber made from sustainably-sourced wood. We are always researching other sustainable options to incorporate into our design.
In an effort to eliminate unnecessary waste and be kind to the environment, we ship our products in eco-friendly, plastic-free, compostable mailers made from plant material, such as corn, wheat and straw. Our clothing items are wrapped in recycled tissue paper that can be repurposed or recycled and we use heat seals wherever possible in place of wasteful, uncomfortable labels. Additionally, our pieces are produced with very little textile waste.
Our Responsible Manufacturing: Slow Fashion vs. Fast Fashion
Fast Fashion is a term that refers to the rapid mass production of large quantities of clothing using low-quality materials in order to bring inexpensive styles to market. This process often uses toxic dyes and chemicals that contaminate the water. It also produces a significant environmental footprint due to its careless production and disposal methods. WHEN & WHERE condemns Fast Fashion and is instead committed to Slow Fashion. We carefully and methodically design multi-use products to reduce overconsumption and we manufacture our products locally -- with local people and local resources -- to reduce transportation and energy.
